The Hotel is situated at the foot of the mountains which encircle the fishing village of Getaria. It is sheltered from the winds which play in the hillside vineyards rocking the vines and year by year helping to create the clear and slightly sparking local wine 'Txakoli'.

   Situated where years ago there was a centre for controlling the province's trade tariffs, according to the old laws.

  Surrounded by large farmhouses, whose inhabitants have their roots deep in the maritime history of Getaria. From this area came navigators like Juan Sebastian de Elcano, and noted explorers such us Domingo de Boenechea, discoverer of Tahiti.
